• Biography

  Malcom grew up in a family of nine and was quite close to his father. When he reached two months old, apprenticeship age, he and four of his sibling asked to become his apprentice as a scavenger. The rest of his siblings wanted to become a minstrel like their mother.His father agreed to take on all of them and was quite pleased with them. He did his best to please his father but soon found the idea of being outside the safety of camp terrifying . His mother comforted him by telling him that in time it would not be so scary, though he knew she worried for them.Fortunately,after only three days of being his apprentice, an Ewerer named Egil approached his father and asked if their was an apprentice that would do well as an ewerer and that he would be willing to part with. His father thought of this for a while before approaching Malcom with the proposition. At first Malcom felt crushed that his father would ask HIM, thinking that his father must think him cry-baby and incapable of scavenging, but then began to realize the opportunity he had been given. He informed his father that he wanted to accepted the Ewerer's apprenticeship. After that he became quite close to Egil and once again did his best to learn the trade of his mentor. This time however, even though his new position had its own dangers that could kill him just as easily, he found that he was much more comfortable with it.
  Egil is more than fare to him and goes out of his way to make sure that he has free time as long as he is responsible and does his job well.
